Chromebooks and Technology Support

Tue, 06/15/2021 - 10:24am

Students who will be returning to Gorman Crossing or any other HCPSS school  for the 2021-2022 school year may keep their assigned HCPSS devices over the summer. HCPSS encourages continued learning during the summer months by using devices to access HCPSS applications like Lexia and Dreambox, and to take advantage of online opportunities, such as those offered by the Howard County Library System. We also encourage you to join the summer reading program at https://hcls.readsquared.com

If your child will not be returning in the Fall their Chromebook may be returned to the school office or to the HCPSS Technology Support Center at Old Cedar Lane, Gymnasium (door on the left side of the building; follow the signs), 5451 Beaverkill Road, Columbia (Building shares a parking lot with Harper’s Choice Middle School). Hours of operation for this site are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 2-5 p.m. ****Please note that Technology Support Centers are closed any day that HCPSS offices are closed

The Technology Support Center will also provide support over the summer for any Chromebook issues.

We will distribute devices at the start of the 2021-2022 school year to students who are new to the school system.

Have a great summer!

Mr. Hoffman and Mrs. Keane
