Students in grades 2-5 who enjoy writing short stories and poems are encouraged to enter the Young Authors’ Contest hosted by SoMLA. Students can submit a short story, 300-800 words and at least 2 paragraphs in length, or a poem, 25-150 words in length. All entries must be original pieces. Entries must be typed using 12 point font in Times New Roman or Comic Sans. Adults may provide editing assistance only. All entries must include a completed cover sheet. Entries are due to Mrs. Fickes by December 10, 2018.
