Just a reminder, that the FLU Clinic for GCES students will be held this coming Tuesday, October 3rd at school. It will start around 11am. The deadline for online and paper Flu Consents is now closed. If you signed your child up to receive the Flu vaccine here at school, look for a half sheet of green paper or half sheet of red paper to be coming home in his/her backpack on Tuesday. The green sheet of paper means, YES, your child received the Flu vaccine and symptoms to watch for. The red sheet of paper means your child was unable to receive the Flu vaccine and to follow up with your child's Pediatrician. Short sleeves for your child is highly encouraged for the Flu clinic. This makes it easier to administer the Flu vaccine.
Student Health Forms:
The Health Room is reviewing student Health files. Please look out for Health forms coming home for your child. Please complete them and return to school. All students most have up to date immunizations, completed physical exam by Doctor, Lead form, Health Survey, and Dental Form. If you child has a health condition, there are health condition history forms coming home and some medication orders. If you have not already, please bring your child's medications along with the medication order form completed by Doctor to school, if you would like to have medications available for your child at school. This is very important for children with asthma and serious life threatening food allergies.
Extra Set of Clothing:
Please pack an extra setting of clothing for your child to have here at school. Children sometimes have bathroom accidents, fall in the mud/puddles outside at recess, vomiting when sick and/or spill food at lunch time. It is always nice to have a clean set to change into when needed. This also saves parents trips to school to bring clean clothing.
Happy Healthy Fall Season!
