Inclement Weather Reminders

During this time of year when we may experience inclement weather, we want to remind all our families to be prepared for late openings and early closings by doing the following:

• Please review your student's emergency file on HCPSS Connect to make sure your early closing section is up to date on how your student should be dismissed.
• Please discuss your dismissal plan for early closings with your student.
• In times of emergencies/school closings, information will be shared with the community through the following:
• Our school system homepage
• HCPSS News email and text message alerts. Parents do not have to sign up for this service. All subscription information comes directly from the HCPSS Connect system.

• Facebook – Howard County Public School System
• HCPSS cable TV – Comcast 95/Verizon 42
• If Howard County public schools open two hours late, there is no morning, half-day prekindergarten/RECC.
