Students in grades 2-5 who enjoy writing short stories and poems are encouraged to enter the Young Author’s Contest hosted by SoMIRAC. Students can submit a short story, 300-800 words in length, or a poem, 25-150 words in length. All entries must be original pieces. Entries must be typed using 12 point font in Times New Roman or Comic Sans. Adults may provide editing assistance only. All entries must include a completed cover sheet. Entries are due to Mrs. Fickes by December 19, 2016.
