Read to Succeed is sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks. Every student who completes six hours of reading before Feb. 20, 2018 is eligible for a free admission ticket, valid at the Six Flags America Park near Washington D.C.

The first concert is Wednesday, December 13 at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. That concert will feature the advanced strings, 5th grade chorus and advanced band. The second concert is on Thursday, December 14 at 7:00 PM. That concert will feature the beginning strings and beginning band.

This year, the Howard County Public School System will be administering the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) to all students in grades 3 and 5. The CogAT is a group-administered abilities test that measures students’ reasoning abilities, which they develop through in-school and out-of-school experiences. It is not designed to test a student’s academic achievement, but their potential.

Our PTA has planned a Multicultural Night for December 8, 2017, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
