The Council of Elders of the Black Community of Howard County (TCOE) in collaboration with the
Howard County Public School System sponsors an annual Celebration of Academic Achievement
to acknowledge and honor students of African and African-American heritage across the county.
This year's Celebration of Academic Achievement will honor students who are currently in grades 4 - 9 and have
achieved one or more of the following levels of academic success during the 2015-2016 school year:
- Received a grade of "A" or "B" for Mathematics in each of the four marking periods
- Received a grade of "A" or "B" for Language Arts in each of the four marking periods
- Scored Advanced on the Maryland School Assessment (MSA) for Science (5th Grade)
