1. Announcing the GCES Birthday Book Program! Please consider making a donation to the library in honor of your child’s birthday. Here’s how the program works:

• Your child will choose a brand new book from our collection. We will place a personalized sticker inside the book to recognize their birthday. Your child will be the first student to borrow their birthday book!

• We plan to use the donated funds to expand our collection of multi-language books.   

2. The Scholastic Book Fair is coming February 3 - 10!

Friday February 3rd is Preview Day. All students will have the chance to visit the book fair with their class to browse. Then, students will have one opportunity to shop during their Media or Technology class during the week of February 6-10.   

New this year: The Gordy Store! A school supplies table with pencils, pens, erasers, bookmarks, and more, that range in price from 25 cents to three dollars. 

Families may shop in person during school hours the week of February 6-10, as well as during math conference time on Thursday February 9 from 1- 6:30pm. Families may also shop online from February 3 - 17.
