PBIS School-Wide Acknowledgement – June 13, 2018

Our intermediate friends danced, brought devices, drew, and exercised. The highlight of this session were the 26 students (plus 5 staff and 1 parent volunteer) who opted to spend their time beautifying our school grounds. These students spent time picking up trash, weeding, and planting flowers. We could not be prouder of these students as their pride for their school community really shined through. Our primary friends also danced, used computers, drew and exercised. We also had many kids (140 to be exact) cooking with teachers and 19 parent volunteers! (Did I mention how much I LOVE this community? Well, I do!) And finally, we had 38 students spend their time making rock art for our rock art “garden.” Okay, it is really just two pots out front right now, BUT it’s a start. The rocks have positive messages and pictures drawn on them. We already cannot wait to see this garden grow next year. No matter where we went today, kids were engaged and having fun! GCES truly is a wonderful place to go to school for both students AND staff!

With a heart that is overflowing with pride,
