Spring is here...Trees, grass, flowers are blooming & the pollen counts are soaring...

Seasonal Allergy Symptoms include:

-Runny, itchy, or stuffy nose

-Watery, red, itchy eyes

-Sneezing

-Itchy throat

-Coughing and wheezing

-Dark circles under the eyes

Treatment can include:
-Medications to alleviate and treat seasonal allergy symptoms include antihistamines like Zyrtec, Claritin and decongestants like Flonase. There are also allergy eye drops as well. Most all of these are found over the counter. Always consult your Doctor first before taking.

-Avoiding time outside when pollen counts are high. Spring pollen peaks in the evening hours, worse on warm and windy days.

-Keep windows and doors shut in the home and in the car during pollen season

-Washing hands, face, hair after coming in from being outside

-Showering and changing clothes before bed

-Washing bed linens weekly

The temps are rising...It is feeling more like Summer than Spring..
-Make sure kids are getting enough fluids during the day. It is easy to get dehydrated on warm days when we are sweating.

-Please refrain from sending your kids to school in flip flops. Flip flops do not protect the feet and make them vulnerable to injury.

Thank you.
